CD Splurge

I went to my my favorite record store to purchase many CD's.

Here's what I bought:

Rufus Wainwright, Want 1 and Want 2.

Arcade Fire, Neon Bible and Funeral

Lily Allen, Alright, Still

Brazillian Girls Talk to La Bomb

Beirut, Gulag Orkestar

The Shins, Wincing the Night Away

M. Ward, Post War

No, I shouldn't be buying so many CD's at one time, but I've been a very very good boy.

What a feast. I really like Arcade Fire's new one.

Me too! Though, as I said in the later post, I'm really loving M. Ward's Post War.

love rufus wainwright ...

he uses an audio clip from the movie _gray gardens_ on his first cd, which
is absolutely weird.

Carol,

I've been singing "Oh What A World!" to Meredith over and over. She thinks I'm absolutely mad. I am, of course. There's a DVD of a live Rufus Wainwright concert included with Want 2. For "Oh What A World!" Rufus is dressed up as the Wicked Witch from Oz and as the song ends he "melts." I love it.
