First, look at this:

It's an artificial swallowtail butterfly. A group of Japanese researchers have taken into account the swallowtail butterfly's weight in proportion to its wings, all the aerodynamic thingabobs and whosanits, etc. in order to model the way a butterfly stays aloft.

Now, read the comments on the YouTube post. Of course there's a bunch of folks heckling, saying that the butterfly really looks like it's falling.

It probably is falling.
