Self Portrait

This is me on September 14, 2011. It is not the same me that is typing this.

Me, right now, has a lot of things to do, but is procrastinating by blogging. Currently, I have fifteen response papers to grade, and I have roughly eleven poems to respond to in my backpack. I also have one critical paper that I need to edit and an introduction to an anthology that I need to craft. The me back then had stress of a different sort--two small children on a vacation is certainly a type of stress.

Reading Ashbery for my ENG 520 class, specifically Self Portrait in a Convex Mirror. I first read it as a graduate student and, I have to admit, I didn't enjoy reading it. Now, however, I am enjoying it quite a bit. Much has changed over the years.
