Purge. Reload.

I've been shuttling back and forth between three used bookstores in Bellingham: Henderson's, Michael's, and Eclipse.

When I lived in Tempe, I used to binge/purge books all the time because I lived near Changing Hands, but my purging lapsed when I lived in Utica. So I wound up acquiring a lot of books. A LOT of books. If you look at my goodreads bookshelf, you'll see my "read" books are in the 1000's. I haven't updated the thing for several years, so I've acquired a significant number of books since.

So, I got rid of books--books I read, half-read, or didn't enjoy. Of course, when you go to a used book store, there's always lots of temptation. And yes, I acquired a lot of books from these merchants. I'm doing my part.

I'm also purged of the Spring quarter. I did all my household chores--vacuuming, mopping the floor, mowing.

Oh, and I have store credit at Henderson's and at Eclipse. I'm looking for short story collections, so if you've got recommendations, feel free to drop a line in the discussions page.

Trying to get back to the writing desk has been harder this time with a second kid to worry about. No excuses, though. There's plenty of time to write. I just have to get past my fatigue.
